Online shopping: Delivery made easy
After securing the contract last year to handle home deliveries of white and brown goods to Interspar customers throughout Austria, hi-tech logistics provider tectraxx is now taking the partnership one step further. The GW business unit has recently taken responsibility for home deliveries of large appliances purchased through the Interspar online shops. Via its website at www.interspar.at, Austria’s largest hypermarket offers a range of 2,500 items around the clock. Customers take delivery of the goods they have ordered after booking a time and date that suits them. They can further opt to have the new appliance connected to the mains supply and to have the packaging materials plus old appliance safely disposed of. ”When customers visit our online shop, customers can also take their time reading detailed information such as test certificates and specifications,” says Simone Glinik, Head of New Media / B2C / Special Projects, outlining the benefits of Interspar’s virtual shops. ”Online shopping is not intended as a substitute for Interspar’s physical outlets, but it does constitute a sensible market extension. With our internet platforms, we offer our customers an additional, convenient and modern shopping experience.” Founded in 1970 as a subsidiary of Spar Warenhandels-AG, Interspar is the leading hypermarket chain in Austria. The 65 Interspar stores, each with a sales area of between 2,500m² and 7,000m², offer a unique combination of food and non-food items. |
