tectraxx becomes a new partner of Teneso

Complex exchange of high-tech equipment between Western and Eastern Europe covering more countries. Teneso is now present throughout Europe. Since 1 January 2010, the pan-European logistics company Teneso Europe SE has expanded its specialist services to include Austria and the whole of Eastern Europe. The high-tech logistics network is expanding its portfolio of locations to include Austria, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria. As part of this expansion of Teneso's network cooperation began on 1 January 2010 with its future partner, covering operations in Austria, Tectracxx, the high-tech logistics division of the transport and logistics service provider, Gebrüder Weiss, a family company. "In Tectraxx we have gained a strategically important partner", says Udo Scheffler, Deputy Managing Director of Teneso. With Vienna as a logistics hub, the Teneso network is opening up new markets.

Advantages for customers operating throughout Europe
Scheffler sees the expansion of the network as a new direction, opening up new opportunities: "We are entering the next decade well-equipped to deal with developments in the market and the sector. Tectraxx's inclusion means that the network can expand into Eastern Europe. Blank spaces on the service map for specialist transport and high-tech logistics will soon be filled and more extensive logistical and technical services will be able to be translated into complete, bespoke Europe-wide solutions. The orientation towards Eastern European markets will benefit our customers who operate throughout Europe and see Eastern Europe as the market of the future with potential for growth", says Scheffler. For instance, Teneso can collect finished goods from factories in Central and Eastern Europe and deliver them direct to end-customers in Central and Eastern European countries.

Single solution: from procurement logistics to commissioning of high-tech equipment
This means that customers can now rely on Europe-wide supply-chain oriented support across the board from procurement logistics to production supply in Central and Eastern Europe: from supplier control to storage, stock management and collection of finished goods. Further advantage: Teneso offers collection from the factory, order picking, storage and retrieval, packaging and direct transport of finished goods to end-customers throughout Europe, including commissioning of high-tech equipment and systems.

The locations and networks of the country in question can be exploited to enable expert, reliable, and economic cross-border operations.

Jürgen Bauer, holder of a degree in Business Management and Director responsible for Tectraxx at Gebrüder Weiss says: "From our central Tectraxx platform in Vienna, we control Teneso projects in Eastern European countries and offer each customer appropriate transport solutions, specialist technical services and a standard IT environment. We are excellently equipped to meet the challenges of the Eastern European market." Tectraxx is also supported in its coverage of the new Teneso member-countries by Gebrüder Weiss, its parent organisation, and is connected to Teneso's SAP system across Europe.
