tectraxx takes over repair logistics for Samsung

Beginning in November of this year, Samsung, the global market leader and Austria's number one manufacturer of LCD displays and colour laser multifunction devices, has adopted a new approach towards repair service:

The company transferred all repair logistics operations for its entire product range in brown goods and IT products to the high-tech logistician tectraxx. ”We expect outsourcing to a professional partner to provide us with cost reductions as well as uniform, high quality standards nationwide, both with regard to transit times and transport security,” says Michael Blutmager, Senior Service Manager at Samsung in Austria.

Everything from one source

tectraxx does more than just process the deliveries between consumers, retailers and repair service providers for the electronics company. ”Beyond this, our employees also carry out additional services on site, such as unpacking products at the customer’s location, performing functionality checks, providing installation services or documenting the entire process,” explains Dragan Djenadic, Key Account Manager at tectraxx.

Expansion to additional countries

In the past, specialist retailers deployed a number of isolated solutions to ship defective brown and white goods and information technology devices to qualified service partners – these partners then invested a great deal of effort in coordinating the return transport of these items. ”Now both the retailers and the repair partners can focus on their core competencies,” says a satisfied Michael Blutmager. Added to this is the fact that tectraxx guarantees reaction times of 24 hours or less throughout Austria.
The Service Manager is convinced of the quality of the repair logistics solution and therefore wants to see it implemented in additional countries quite soon: ”For the first quarter of 2009 we are planning on adapting the concept for use in Switzerland, with Slovenia to follow in an additional step.”
